Join me to challenge yourself and add an awesome fundraising opportunity.

For the past few years, I (Cami) have been doing a “TEN for TEN” challenge in August, running 10 miles a day for 10 days in a row. I’ve used this challenge as a chance to get in shape, reset my running goals for the next year of running, and, frankly, to enjoy the best part of the year in the PNW by getting outside for a couple of hours a day. This year, I’m going to do my TEN for TEN again, but I’m adding an important reason to do it. I’ll be raising funds for the Hard Road Challenge.

Read on and then JOIN ME this year—just to give yourself a reset and/or to raise funds with me!! I’ll do my challenge from August 17 to August 26!

What is the Hard Road Challenge?

The Hard Road started in 2020 as a tribute bicycle ride and fundraising event undertaken by the Epik Project’s director Tom Perez to honor the resilience of sex trafficking survivors. This event has now grown into The Epik Project’s annual, national fundraising effort, enlisting teams from around the country to continue to raise funds to disrupt the demand that drives sexual exploitation. During the first 2 weeks of August, each team defines their “Hard Road” – what kind of physical challenge they want to undertake – and then they go for it.

I know Tom because he and fellow disrupter Lauren Trantham (director of Ride My Road) are writers in The Narrative Project. These two badass human beings inspire me with their lives and with their writing. When they approached me and invited me to join them this year for the Hard Road Challenge, I had to say YES.

I would LOVE it if you would join me this year for my TEN for TEN challenge. You don’t have to run 10 miles a day! You could decide to get your 10K steps in for 10 days. Or you could run for TWO miles a day for 10 days. You could decide to do 10 sit-ups each day for 10 days. Whatever you decide to do, let’s do it together!

Want to join me? You can help me raise funds, do your own challenge (either to raise money or just for your own fitness adventure), or both.
